A new project with Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May has been teased by the former boss of Top Gear and The Grand Tour.
The presenters met on BBC’s Top Gear and presented the popular motoring show until Oxfordshire star Mr Clarkson departed in 2015, followed by his two co-hosts.
Moving over to Prime Video, the trio starred in The Grand Tour, which saw them travel all over the world and record several special episodes released on Amazon’s streaming service.
This came to an end last year with their final episode, One For The Road, which saw them venture across Zimbabwe and Botswana in Africa.
Although their professional collaborations have ended, The Grand Tour as a show has not, with new hosts announced last month ahead of a new six-part series this year.
Trainspotter-turned-social media star Francis Bourgeois will host the new series of the Prime Video show alongside James Engelsman and Thomas Holland.
But it may not be the end of the road for Mr Clarkson, Mr Hammond and Mr May, though, after some interesting comments from former Top Gear and Grand Tour boss, Andy Wilman.
The 63-year-old is a long-time collaborator of the Oxfordshire-based farmer, having met Mr Clarkson at Repton School in Derbyshire.
Speaking to Mr Hammond on a recent interview on the DRIVETRIBE YouTube channel, Mr Wilman responded, “Why not?” to the question of working together again.
The former Top Gear and Grand Tour star said: “I want to ask, do you think we will ever work together again?
“All of us, because I’m asked all the time.”
Mr Wilman responded: “Why not?
“I think it would be as natural as anything if it happened. It would absolutely be as natural as anything. It would be the easiest thing in the world.”
“I think you would slot in amazingly easily, and you’re all so aware of each other that you would acknowledge that you’re back together again, that the time has moved on, that in the same way you knew how to say goodbye, you’d know how to say hello again.”
