The 65-year-old also presented Top Gear and the Grand Tour for more than 20 years with Richard Hammond and James May.

Living in Chipping Norton means he has some valuable contacts, with many celebrities living in the area such as David Beckham, Amanda Holden and Simon Cowell.

He also lives close to Blur bandmate Alex James, who has a 200-acre farm near Kingham about five miles away from Diddly Squat Farm Shop.

Every year Alex – who makes cheese on his farm – hosts the Big Feastival, which this year will see performances from Nelly Furtado, Faithless and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

According to national reports, Mr Clarkson was pictured at the festival in the Cheese Hub, sipping on a pint with celebrity chef Thomas Straker.

Renowned Michelin-starred Raymond Blanc, widely celebrated as one of the finest chefs in Britain, will be headlining the Big Kitchen at the Big Feastival.

With a career spanning more than five decades and a dedication to locally sourced ingredients from his local Oxfordshire restaurant and gardens, Raymond will share the passion behind his dishes.

Meanwhile, Si King, from the beloved Hairy Bikers and known for his hearty dishes, will bring insight into his take on home-cooked meals.
