Jeremy Clarkson has been left devastated as he announced a heartbreaking loss on Clarkson’s Farm.

Doncaster-born TV presenter Jeremy Clarkson has shared further heartbreaking news after confirming that cattle at his Diddly Squat Farm have contracted TB.

The former Top Gear host revealed the devastating blow yesterday, alongside the tragic news that one of the newborn puppies from his dog Arya’s litter has passed away. Jeremy delivered two crushing updates regarding the farm, adding to the initial distressing announcement that left fans deeply saddened for the television personality turned agriculturalist, reports the Express.

Speaking during an interview with Peter Cardwell on Times Radio, Jeremy explained: “It’s awful, it is awful. You have a test every six months on the cows and then you sort of become blasé, it’s a hypothetical threat. And then the vet looks up as he did yesterday lunchtime and said ‘I’m really sorry this one’s failed’. So that means we’re now locked down and it’s just dreadful, absolutely dreadful.

“It’s only been not even 24 hours since I found out and it occupies my mind. Well it was occupying my mind but I got up this morning and found one of my puppies has died. And we’ve got a very sickly calf. Honestly, farming? I’m not enjoying it this week.”

Jeremy also revealed that the farm will be forced to close for “certainly two months because that’s how long we have to wait before we do another test” whilst reassuring that the farm shop continues operating normally as “it’s only cows that get affected by it”. The television star shared the devastating news with his followers yesterday, stating: “Bad news from Diddly Squat. We’ve gone down with TB. Everyone here is absolutely devastated.”

Bovine tuberculosis, or bovine TB, is “caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium bovis, (M. bovis) which is closely related to the bacterium that causes human and avian tuberculosis. The infectious disease is respiratory and can be transmitted “through nose to nose contact and also through contact with saliva, urine, faeces and milk”.”

There’s also a risk that it can be transmitted to humans. This shocking revelation came just hours after Kaleb Cooper shared some heartbreaking news of his own. He informed his fans that thieves had made off with his farm equipment, including one of his tractors and a post knocker, used for driving fence posts into the ground.
