While the rest of the nation was celebrating England’s Lionesses winning the Euros last night, the Clarkson’s Farm stars were more preoccupied at home.

Taking to Instagram with an adorable clip, Clarkson revealed his dog Arya had given birth to 11 gorgeous pups. He said: “Now I know you’ve all been enjoying the football, but I’ve been rather busy if I’m honest. Because look what Arya’s done.”

He then panned the camera to reveal the adorable puppies laying beside Arya suckling and squealing. “Yay! I mean well done Lionesses but really, really, really well done Arya.”

“Well done Arya, our lioness of 11 & to all the other champion Lionesses!! Quite the Sunday victory,” she wrote in the caption.

Clarkson then revealed in the comments that he played midwife, clarifying one follower who wrote: “Well done Arya and Lisa (who I’m sure was midwife!).”

He replied: “Actually, I was!”

“Is there anything Mr C can’t do?” one fan said, while another added: “You’re now a vet as well as a farmer. The list gets bigger.”

“Aww, they all look beautiful. I’ve been feeling under the weather today, but this has really helped me cheer up. Just listen to those little voices,” another said.

Someone else wrote: “Ahhhh adorable. Mum looks shattered. I mean who wouldn’t be after giving birth to 10 babies!!! X”

A third added: “Fabulous job Arya! And her midwives!!! Well done Lisa and Jeremy.”

Clarkson, 65, previously spoke about his love for midwifery, writing in The Times earlier this year: “I’m sure there are many people who go through life like this, never really finding anything that they’re good at or which they truly enjoy. But last week [April 26] that changed for me because, finally, after nearly 65 years of being average to poor at everything, I finally found something I both love and am quite good at. Midwifery.”

He had helped deliver calves for the first time when his cows on Diddly Squat Farm gave birth, and has also helped lambs give birth in the past, saying “that’s running a production line”.

Lisa had also addressed the “imminent” arrival of Arya’s puppies in a recent Instagram update, saying she “days away, if not hours away” from delivering “Sansa’s nieces and nephews”.

“I would say, yep, look at that teet. Oh my god, you’re heavy and you’re hot compared to your sister in the stomach,” she said, talking to Arya. “I think we might have puppies on the way!”

Clarkson revealed plans for the future of Clarkson’s Farm, in a video last November. Celebrating Bonfire Night with a series of lit-up drones in the background, he confirmed: “Over the years, bright lights in the sky have been used to make many important announcements – the birth of baby Jesus, for example.”

With the drones moving into the formation of the number five, he continued: “But tonight, they’re being used to make an announcement that’s even bigger than that. Season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm is coming.”

However, he later revealed the team would be taking a “short break” before a possible sixth season.

He told The Times: “Whatever happens we’ll definitely take a short break as the crews are all worn out.

“We’ve been filming here two or three days a week, every week, for five years. Everybody could do with a rest.”
