A Clarkson’s Farm fan has opened up about what it is like at Diddly Squat Farm, following a recent visit with her family.

Top Gear and Grand Tour star Jeremy Clarkson bought Diddly Squat Farm back in 2008. Then in 2021, he started documenting his agricultural experiences for his Amazon Prime Video series, Clarkson’s Farm. The show, which recently launched its fourth series, captures Clarkson’s life at the 1,000 acre farm near Chipping Norton, West Oxfordshire.

Following the shows popularity, Diddy Squat Farm now sees crowds of people every week visiting the location. The farm, which boasts 2.4million Instagram followers, is open to the public from Wednesday to Sunday.

The farm shop sells a variety of merchandise and local produce. While you can visit the shop and surrounding area, the actual farm – which grows crops like barely, wheat, raises livestock and produces honey – is not open to the public.

So is the farm actually worth the a visit? A customer called Ashna posted a video about her experience on TikTok, writing: “I went to Diddly Squat Farm and I have a British bone to pick with Jeremy Clarkson.”

Ashna said her husband had been speaking about the farm and wanted to visit, plus it is just an hour away from their home. She said: “It is so lovely driving through The Costwolds, it is absolutely stunning.”

They arrived at the farm around 3.30pm, but saw a sea of people with the same idea. Ashna confessed: “By the time we had to queue we weren’t allowed in because the shop closed at 4.30pm and we couldn’t just get in the queue to look around.”

Instead, they drove 10 minutes away to Clarkson’s pub – the Farmer’s Dog, in Asthall. Ashna said: “We didn’t have a booking because, no fear, Clarkson said we didn’t need to. When we got into the restaurant area, we saw the queues forming and we did get a bit worried.

“We were then told it could be up to three hours before we get a table. They gave us a buzzer and we sat down and literally five minutes later we got a table service.”

She said the table and efficient service were “incredible”. Ashna said: “All in all, it was a really great day out and I can’t wait to come back.”

There was just one small problem – as cheeky Ashna wanted to do some celebrity spotting. She joked: “All I have to say is Clarkson, where were you? We were really hoping to see you. I wanted you to take a picture with my son, so let me know when you’re there next time, thank you.”

Commenting on Ashna’s experience, one said: “Maybe plan ahead. It’s going to be a popular place leave earlier next time.” Another pointed out: “Maybe he has a life? I’ve never seen Jamie Oliver in his restaurants.”

One suggested: “He really needs to hire a lookalike to save on disappointment or even some of those cut outs you stand behind the for taking photos.”

Another agreed: “Jeremy – get a nice big cardboard cut out of yourself.”

Others warned fans to be prepared to queue if they stop by. One viewer commented: “We went at the weekend it was amazing, but mental. The waiting time was about two hours + for the pub and outside tent. The farm shop we waiting one and half hours.”
