The Clarkson’s Farm star has got himself in hot water many times over the years including a spat with Antiques Roadshow and Question Time host Fiona Bruce

Jeremy Clarkson found himself in a spot of bother with TV stalwart Fiona Bruce after a TV appearance together.

Fiona is well-known for her roles on iconic shows such as BBC One’s Question Time and Antiques Roadshow and over the years, she’s worked with a galaxy of stars including prominent politicians, TV nobility, and Hollywood A-listers. Nonetheless, not all celebrity encounters have been easy.

Recalling a past encounter in 2007, she found herself unimpressed by Clarkson’s less-than-gracious remark about her posterior during an appearance on Top Gear.

On her initial visit to the motoring show, she helped push Clarkson out of the minuscule Peel P50 car, after which he quietly commented: “She has got quite a nice bottom. I said that out loud, didn’t it?”

Although the comment passed unnoticed at the time, Fiona, upon her return to the show the next year with Kate Silverton, seized the opportunity for a witty retort.

While participating in the segment known as the Star in a Reasonably Sized Car, she cheekily slapped Clarkson’s rear, jokingly suggesting it “needs a bit of work”.

That pointed jab wasn’t the end of their exchanges, however, revealing the broadcaster’s sharp wit and readiness to stand her ground, reports the Express.

Fiona later took Clarkson’s place writing the Sunday Times car review column, a move she labelled “the ultimate revenge”.

Her first column began with a tongue-in-cheek reference to the original incident: “[I’m] Perching my bottom, nice or otherwise, on his patch.”

In a surprising twist, her bottom proved to be a lasting talking point among Brits, as she was awarded Rear of the Year two years later. Fiona dismissed the accolade as “demeaning”.

When questioned about the altercation with the Grand Tour presenter by the Radio Times years later, Fiona quickly changed the subject.

Asked about smacking the father-of-three, she snapped: “Don’t get me involved in that!”
