Jeremy Clarkson makes ‘separate ways’ comment in rare romance insight with Lisa Hogan

Clarkson’s Farm and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? host Jeremy Clarkson shared what it’s like having his partner Lisa Hogan as his co-star on the much loved farming series

Jeremy Clarkson has made a rare comment about his relationship with his partner, and Clarkson’s Farm co-star, Lisa Hogan.

Fans have got to know the couple through Prime Video’s much loved show, which sees Jeremy getting to grips with life as a farmer on his Diddly Squat Farm.

The 65-year-old insists that he particularly enjoys filming the show as it shows “the real” him.

“It’s the real me on the farm show,” he said. “There’s no Top Gear nonsense. It’s much more relaxing not to play a part.”

An added benefit of working on the programme is that he gets to film with his partner of eight years Lisa.

Lisa, 52, is often seen helping out at the Diddly Squat Farm Shop, which she co-founded with Jeremy in 2020.

Sharing what it was like working with his partner, Jeremy said: “It’s all good. It’s not like we’re doing the same thing all the time.

“I think it’s a happy way to live, to have breakfast together, go our separate ways, and then you’ve got plenty to talk about in the evening.

“You can go out for dinner and you don’t sit like normal old people, not talking to each other,” he added to The Telegraph.

Lisa and Jeremy got together back in 2017 after meeting through mutual friends at a party.

Five years later, she said she had no plans to marry him or have anymore children. 

She told Fabulous magazine: “Mrs Clarkson? No, thank you, I like Lisa Hogan.”

“We’re at a stage where we are not going to have kids,” the television star added.

“I’m just happy pootling along. I think because of our age, it’s much easier. You go, ‘God, is it you I end up with? OK, that’s it’.”

Jeremy was previously married to Alexandra James, from 1989 to 1990, followed by Frances Cain from 1993 to 2014.

With Frances, he has three children; Emily, 30, Finlo, 27, and Katya, 24.

As for Lisa, she was married for thirty years to millionaire businessman Baron Steven Bentinck, with whom she shares three children.

The former actress said making things official with Jeremy took a while, as she needed to ensure he had good intentions.

“We’d both come out of quite long-term relationships, and I was really happy being single,” she shared.

“So I was like, ‘If I’m not going to be single any more, I don’t want to be with a messer’.

“There was [a moment]. I had given myself three months, but it was way before that, where I thought, ‘OK, I really like this person’.”

Lisa went on to say her partner “has a laser brain and will take you down”, adding: “And that’s where the fun and the challenge is with him, trying to take him down.”
