Clarkson’s Farm fans are sharing their hopes for the future of the show as they say one cast member could be due a spin-off from the Jeremy Clarkson-fronted Amazon Prime series

Fans of the hit streaming show Clarkson’s Farm are sharing their hopes for season five. The Jeremy Clarkson-fronted programme has delighted fans with its four seasons so far, and viewers are wanting even more from the familiar faces seen on the show. The Amazon Prime programme has been a hit with viewers, but fans think there are “more radical ideas” Clarkson and the team should shy away from.

A post to the r/ClarksonsFarm subreddit saw one fan suggest the new season feature familiar faces and newcomers, but also want the show to be “grounded in reality”. Fans believe a new season is already well underway and that plans for the show are prepared.

One fan wrote: “I know there are still things left for Jeremy Clarkson to try (Alpaca farming perhaps?) but I don’t feel the need for the show to try and introduce even more radical ideas, just to keep people’s attention, rather than being a genuine attempt to make things as profitable as possible, as has been the case so far with the farm shop and now the pub.

“I guess I am saying that I want it to still be grounded in reality (such as the paint marker attachment for the seed drill) rather than trying something that stands no chance of working (like growing coffee) or feels like it is only being done for sheer spectacle (such as hiring a fleet of combine harvesters to try and complete the harvest in record time).”

Many fans agreed with the original poster, with many suggesting the show is at its best when it is Clarkson, Kaleb Cooper, and Charlie Ireland finding solutions to everyday farming woes.

One user wrote: “There are some things they could revisit if they have time and a place for them.

“The pig’s woods are in serious trouble. A huge number of trees have been completely girdled by the pigs and they are going to die, full stop. The remainder are at risk.

“The dam presumably got finished but needs a revisit, as does the pond to see how it’s coming along.

“Are the goats accomplishing their task of clearing bramble? Have any found their way to market yet?”

Another added: “I think after the confirmed season five I’d just be happy for yearly specials to see how the farming year went for Diddly Squat. Surely there’d be some shenanigans still and it could still be a fun watch!”

One fan believes the show could be coming to an end soon, though, as Clarkson has “finally got the establishment” in farming communities, which he did not have at the start of the show.

They predicted: “I think season five will be almost about him stepping back from the actual farming with more of the focus on Kaleb and then season six will be mostly Kaleb antics, maybe introducing his family more into the show or a entire Kaleb and Harriet spinoff.”

Another agreed, adding: “The show will potentially reach a natural conclusion at some point in the next few years, although I have every faith something similar starring Jeremy may take its place if he is physically able to do it.”
