Pedro Pascal’s rise to fame and his appearances in high-profile projects in recent years has been welcomed by fans, especially those who loved him in Game of Thrones. He is set to play Reed Richard in the upcoming MCU film The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The cast made an appearance in San Diego to promote the film and Pascal rubbing his hand on Vanessa Kirby‘s arm at one point turned some people off.

During an event for Los Angeles last year, Pascal was seen putting his left hand on his torso. When his co-star Bella Ramsey asked him about this pose, he said “You know why? It’s because my anxiety is right here” (via Deadline). It was his way of calming himself and controlling his anxiety.
As stated by Huffpost, The Last of Us star has always posed in this way in most red carpet photoshoots and when placed under the spotlight. At this year’s SAG awards, Pascal’s nervousness and anxiety were observed as he accepted Best Actor in a Drama Series as he told audiences (via X),
I’m a little drunk. Uh, I thought I could get drunk…I’m gonna have a panic attack, and I’m gonna leave.
It was indeed a sweet gesture and an adorable chemistry that the two share which has been twisted by some people. The two stars were truly comfortable with each other and one’s mental health and how they deal with it must be understood and taken seriously.
