Stacey Slater devastated as granddaughter Charli’s first birthday party spirals out of control in EastEnders
STACEY Slater is going to be seen struggling to balance her granddaughter’s birthday with a big court case in EastEnders.
Dean Wicks is finally set to go to trial for the murder of Keanu Taylor – and the Six have agreed to be in court to support each other with bringing him down.
However, what they know is that it was actually Linda who stabbed Keanu in order to protect Sharon from being strangled.
Keeping the truth from coming to light in court is already stressful, but Stacey also has little Charli’s first birthday to contend with.
Upcoming episodes see the grandma wracked with guilt when Mo points out that she’s forgotten to plan the birthday party after promising Lily she would.
Stacey starts to realise that the whole scheme with the Six is affecting her family life.
There’s not much she can do about it as she has to head into court and deliver a witness statement, but she resolves to be there for Lily afterwards.
Things go from bad to worse when Stacey tries to make a cake for Charli’s birthday, only to burn it badly because she is so preoccupied with the court case.
Drama also erupts between Suki Panesar and Eve Unwin as Suki has to pull out of attending the party.
Eve berates Suki for being selfish, not realising her involvement in the Keanu case.
Finally the Slaters all pull together to have their family celebration.
But poor Stacey, who already felt guilty about doing so little for her granddaughter, ended up having to slip away from the karaoke.
Will Stacey’s involvement in the trial end up causing a rift between her and her daughter?
Or will Lily be left wondering why no one came through for her and Charli?
